Sci Fi TV Premieres This Week: Westworld, Luke Cage, and Aftermath, Ash vs. Evil Dead

The Fall premieres of sci fi & fantasy TV shows slow down just a little bit this week for you to catch your breath as only three four are scheduled for the next seven days (you can see the full listings for the week at this link). But we are back into high gear again next week with NBC’s Timeless having its bow and all the CW shows returning. You can see the full Fall schedule at this link and here is the rundown of this week’s premieres:

Aftermath: Series Premiere is on Tuesday September 27th at 10 PM EST on Syfy
Here’s the official synopsis of the show:
The Copeland family (parents Karen and Joshua, and their children Dana, Brianna and Matt) battles for survival when civilization comes to an apocalyptic end, triggered by massive storms, meteor strikes, earthquakes and plague – and the rise of supernatural creatures.

Luke Cage: Series Premiere is on Friday September 30th on Netflix
Here’s the official synopsis of the show:
Given superstrength and durability by a sabotaged experiment, a wrongly accused man escapes prison to become a superhero for hire.

This is the third entry in Netflix’s Marvel Defenders series. It was preceded by the acclaimed Daredevil and Jessica Jones and will be followed by Iron Fist and the Defenders team-up series.

Westworld: Series Premiere is on Sunday October 2nd at 9 PM EST on HBO
Here’s the official synopsis of the show:
A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.

Ash vs. Evil Dead: Series Premiere is on Sunday October 2nd at 9 PM EST on Starz
Here’s the official synopsis for Season 2:
Season 2 roars back into action with Ash leaving Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove, Michigan. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies form an alliance as Elk Grove becomes the nucleus of evil.
