Sci Fi TV Listings for the Week of September 26th: Premieres for Westworld, Luke Cage, and Aftermath, Plus Fear the Walking Dead S2 Finale

By | September 25, 2016

Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.

westworld_promoThe premieres of sci fi & fantasy shows slow down a little bit this week with only three vs. the eleven we saw last week. Bowing over the next seven days are Aftermath (Syfy), Luke Cage (Netflix), and Westworld (HBO). You can read more about those and see the trailers at this link. But don’t think the temporary slowdown of premieres means that the Fall season is letting its foot off the gas. Things pick up again next week with the bow of NBC’s Timeless as well as all the CW shows. And then there are still more on the way through the rest of October and into November. You can see the full Fall schedule at this link.  Note that Syfy’s Channel Zero was previously showing to have its series premiere this Tuesday, but that has been pushed to October 11th.

Also this week, Fear the Walking Dead has its Season 2 finale (it has already been renewed for a third year). And Syfy has another of of their Saturday night creep-fests with The Crooked Man. And I think Star Wars Rebels has a new episode, but cannot confirm yet. One source shows a new ep airing on Saturday, but it is not on the TV Guide listings. DXD played schedule ping pong with that one last year, and may be doing that again. I will try to update the listings later in the week if I get a confirmation on whether or not it is airing.  Also note that FOX’s Lucifer will be preempted on Monday for the Presidential Debate (he will be busy sitting on each of the candidates’ shoulders during the proceedings).

I’m a big fan of the Sci Fi channel however the decision to show CSI crime scene investigation and the twilight zone shows iin the morning is not a good idea after witnessing this pass presidential campaign that left a bad taste we need something out of this world that dont look like our reality monsters and creatures will be welcomed not the ones that look like us.
    Thanks a Huge fan
