Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
The clone drama Orphan Black got its start on BBC America four years ago and has since developed a reputation as one of the better science fiction shows to emerge from the Peak TV overload. Through its five seasons it has explored themes of identify, what it means to be human, women’s rights over to their own bodies, and more. But now the show will be wrapping up with its fiftieth episode which will air this Saturday at 10 PM EST. Apart from that, it is pretty much business as usual for the week, but next week will bring a couple of late Summer premieres with Netflix’s The Defenders and TNT’s The Last Ship. You can see the full Summer schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows at this link.
