Cancellation Watch: Deadbeat Cancelled After Three Seasons, Scream Debuts Low, Plus the Ratings Roundup

deadbeat-huluCancellation Announcement: Word broke yesterday that the supernatural comedy Deadbeat which is a Hulu original series will not be returning for a third season.  That shows stars Tyler Labine as a man who can talk with dead people and who helps them with unresolved issues from when they were alive.  Labine announced the cancellation on Twitter:

It’s always hard to predict the renewal / cancellation status for shows on the streaming services because they don’t share their viewership numbers, but Deadbeat was not particularly well known and two to three seasons seems to be about the typical lifespan of the less buzzworthy entries on that platform. But Labine already has another gig in place as he is voicing the character Hunk on Netflix’s reboot of Voltron which debuts this week (June 10th).  Read the full article at our partner site CancelledSciFi.com.
